Reel: Animation Showcase - Rave on Air 2009
At the previous Rave on Air, the then second year students hosted the very successful event 'Pixel' which showcased their final work. Now its our turn. This year at RoA, we will be hosting a similar event, but with a new name: Reel.
Reel. Now you may be thinking of a Reel of film, but the analogy we prefer is a reel of thread, which clearly represents what is involved in our course. Computer Animation can be a rather laborious process, yet be gratifying in results. Each process or 'thread' to make a single piece of animation or a short animated film is as important as the last, since everything is interconnected; especially with group related projects - everyone depends on one another to achieve the final result. Reel can also be seen as a step in a continuing journey - a thread in the rest of our professional lives.
Ranging from projects set by tutors to live projects set by the industry itself, there is a variety of talent on show. We'll be based in the emerald room, so please pop on by...
