Synopsis
Produced by Mariessa Duffield
Two teams, one race, one aim to see which who can make it from London to John o’groats, the furthest point North in the country using the least amount of carbon dioxide. Each team have the same budget, and have tasks to slow them down along the way. We follow the race with two Presenters, Mariessa, and Aaron, each presenter has a cameraman, and that’s it!
With each team approaching the challenge differently, and underhanded consequences. One team deciding to travel by car, immediately seeming as if they have already put themselves out of the race, as this is going to cost them a lot of points in carbon footprints, however they have a cunning plan to get them back in the running. The Car team encounter unforeseen problems along the way. Can two people spending 72 hours together ever end well?
The other team choosing to travel by Public transport as this will share the carbon footprint with many other travellers! This however also means a lot of waiting around.. A close race between two teams, this fast pace, action packed documentary supplies the viewer with entertainment, whilst throwing in a few facts along the way.
The documentary is very relevant in our current climate and brings awareness to the vast amount of carbon we all use in our everyday lives. Could you cut down your footprint? What impact are you having on the planet?
